By accessing or using Discourses ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Service Description

Discourses provides a financial sentiment analysis API that processes text and returns sentiment scores. The Service is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice.

User Accounts

To access the API, you must create an account and maintain accurate, complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Not sharing API keys or allowing others to use your account

Community Conduct

Discourses operates as a symposium for the free exchange of information, ideas, and civil discourse. To maintain this environment, all users must adhere to standards of decorum and respect. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

• Profanity, vulgarity, or obscene language
• Threats of violence, intimidation, or harassment
• Hate speech, discrimination, or attacks based on identity
• Spam, manipulation, or intentionally misleading content
• Personal attacks or ad hominem arguments
• Content that disrupts constructive dialogue

Suspension & Banning Policy

Violations of community conduct standards will result in enforcement actions:

• First Violation: Your account will be temporarily suspended for 24 hours. This serves as a formal warning.
• Second Violation: Your account will be permanently banned. This action is final, though you may appeal by contacting our support team.

We reserve the right to take immediate action, including permanent bans, for severe violations at our sole discretion. The symposium exists for the thoughtful exchange of ideas—behavior that undermines this purpose will not be tolerated.

API Usage

Your use of the API is subject to the rate limits and usage quotas of your subscription tier. You agree to:

• Not exceed your allocated API limits or attempt to circumvent rate limiting
• Not use the API for any unlawful purpose
• Not attempt to reverse engineer the sentiment model
• Not redistribute API responses as a competing service
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Data Privacy

Text submitted to our API is processed in real-time and is not permanently stored. We do not save, retain, or use the content of your API requests for any purpose beyond providing the immediate sentiment analysis response. Payment Terms

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

User Content

By submitting, posting, or displaying content on or through the Service (including posts, comments, discussions, and any other user-generated content), you grant Discourses a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content in connection with:

• Operating, improving, and promoting the Service
• Developing, training, and improving our APIs, models, and analytical tools
• Research, analysis, and academic purposes
• Creating aggregated, anonymized, or derived datasets
• Any other lawful business purpose related to the Service

This license continues even if you stop using the Service, to the extent your content has been incorporated into aggregated data, research outputs, or derivative works. You represent that you have the necessary rights to grant this license for any content you submit.

We may, in our sole discretion, remove or refuse to display any content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including the sentiment model, algorithms, and documentation, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
